One of the main tourist attractions to Windsor is Casino Windsor. This Casino draws people from all over the metro-Detroit area, as well as people as far as Toledo and Cleveland in Ohio on a regular basis.

Windsor's nickname is the "Rose City" or the "City of Roses" and the city is noted for its several large parks and gardens found on its waterfront. Taking a stroll down the waterfront and gazing upon Detroit's gorgeous skyline can be a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Every summer Windsor co-hosts the two-week-long "Windsor-Detroit International Freedom Festival", which culminates in a gigantic fireworks display that celebrates Canada Day and the American Independence Day. The fireworks display is among the world's largest and is held on the final Wednesday in June on the Detroit River between the two downtowns. Each year, the event attracts over a million spectators to both sides of the riverfront.

You can also take the tunnel bus across from Windsor to Detroit to attend a Red Wings hockey game, Lions football game, or Tigers baseball game. The Detroit Pistons also play just across the river. Right in Windsor, you can visit the historic Windsor Arena and watch the Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League compete.
